The war of October 7, 2023, initiated by Hamas under the leadership of Yahya Sinwar and with the support and provocation of Iran, marked another critical juncture in the history of the Middle East. This terrorist attack against Israel prompted a severe reaction from Netanyahu's government, which not only suppressed Hamas but also aimed to sever the wings of the Islamic Republic and the "Resistance Front" in the region. While these operations dealt a significant blow to Iran's proxies, the broader picture of fundamental political changes in the Middle East remains incomplete.

Amid this, a fundamental question arises: how can lasting peace and a true balance in the region be achieved? The answer to this question may lie in a less-explored area—the resolution of the Kurdish issue.

The geopolitical landscape of Kurdistan, divided among four countries—Turkey, Iran, Iraq, and Syria—holds a unique position in the region’s dynamics. These four countries, particularly Iran, are recognized as potential or active threats to Israel and global peace. Resolving the Kurdish issue could play a pivotal role in creating a balance of power that favors peace and global stability.

As the world's largest stateless nation, the Kurds have consistently suffered under repressive policies and colonial divisions. However, their potential to play a positive role in the region is undeniable. Establishing a just political framework for the Kurds could not only mitigate internal instabilities within these nations but also turn them into natural allies for democracy and development in the region.

For this reason, a fundamental change in the political map of the Middle East requires a fresh perspective on the Kurdish issue. This transformation could involve establishing broad autonomies or even founding an independent Kurdish state that can sustainably contribute to ensuring regional peace and stability.

Although Trump may conclude this war and, in his view, "resolve the Iran problem," the true end will only come when the political map of the Middle East is redesigned to ensure enduring peace, stability, and coexistence. The key to this redesign is undoubtedly the resolution of the Kurdish issue. Such a solution would not only reduce regional threats against Israel but also offer a model for peaceful coexistence globally.

Ultimately, resolving the Kurdish issue would be a victory not just for the region but for the world. It would shift the balance of power in favor of peace and development, transforming a crisis-ridden Middle East into a bridge toward a hopeful future.
