According to eyewitness reports from local residents in the city of Paveh, Iranian authorities have relocated several military centers in the area and transferred their forces to civilian facilities, including schools, mosques, and residential buildings. The development has raised serious concerns about the safety of civilians and the use of non-military spaces for military purposes.
Local sources report that a number of military bases in Paveh, Bayangan, and nearby towns have been evacuated, with security forces moving into public buildings such as schools and mosques. At the same time, reports indicate that some units of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) have been stationed in residents’ summer houses in an area known as Seriyas, located on the slopes below Mount Shaho.
According to the same sources, several local IRGC members have been deployed to border areas. Reports indicate that clashes occurred yesterday near the Morkhil border region, during which five local IRGC members were reportedly killed.
Meanwhile, the shockwaves from explosions related to the clashes injured at least 30 residents of Paveh, who were transferred to the city’s hospital for medical treatment.
