Four political parties from East Kurdistan have issued separate statements expressing support for ongoing nationwide protests and strikes by merchants and citizens across Iran.

The Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan said soaring inflation, rising prices, and worsening living conditions have exhausted society, warning that as long as the Islamic Republic remains in power, people’s livelihoods will continue to deteriorate.

The Free Life Party of Kurdistan (PJAK) described the current unrest as the result of decades of repression, systemic crises, and economic plunder, blaming militarization, rent-seeking networks, and regional interventionism for Iran’s deep economic collapse. The party stressed that solidarity is the only path out of the crisis.

Earlier, the Komala Party of Iranian Kurdistan declared the protests legitimate and held the Islamic Republic directly responsible for the economic situation, accusing it of wasting national resources on militaristic and proxy policies.

In a separate statement, the Komala of Toilers of Kurdistan characterized the current wave of protests as a decisive social uprising rooted in structural political and economic crises. Referring to the “Woman, Life, Freedom” movement, the party emphasized the need for broad unity among social and political movements, independent organization of popular forces, and cooperation among East Kurdistan parties to build a democratic, egalitarian, and pluralistic alternative for Iran’s future.
