Amid the continuation of protests by shopkeepers and citizens in several cities, at least four Kurdish citizens were arrested on Tuesday evening, December 30, 2025 (9 Dey 1404), during a protest gathering in Asadabad.

According to a report by the Hengaw Human Rights Organization, the detainees have been identified as Ario Morsali, Ramtin Bakhshi, Parsa Rezaei, and Pejman Salehi, all residents of Chenaran Sheikh village, a rural area in Asadabad County. The arrests reportedly took place at around 8:00 p.m. during the protest.

An informed source stated that following the arrests, a number of citizens gathered in front of Police Station No. 11 in Asadabad, demanding the immediate release of the detainees. Security forces, however, reportedly opened fire toward the protesters in order to disperse the crowd.
