In a precise and targeted operation conducted last night, Israel struck sensitive military facilities of the Islamic Republic of Iran, resulting in the deaths of several senior commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and a number of the regime’s nuclear scientists. This operation serves as a clear response to decades of Iran’s terrorist adventurism and destabilizing actions across the region.
A number of war criminals and instigators—those responsible for igniting and perpetuating this conflict—perished in the very fire they themselves had set. These are the same individuals whose hands are stained with the blood of tens of thousands of innocent Iranians and the oppressed nations within Iran—victims of the regime’s repression, arrests, assassinations, and the wars it has waged both domestically and abroad. These peoples have paid a heavy price for the regime’s policies.
This event may mark a turning point in confronting the war-mongering and destabilizing forces in the region. In such a critical and decisive moment, the struggle of the oppressed nations within Iran requires, more than ever, strong international support to achieve fundamental change, establish a democratic system, and ensure the right to self-determination by the people themselves. The oppressed nations of Iran—especially the Kurdish people—can be among the most reliable allies of the international community in resisting the Islamic Republic's terrorist and expansionist policies.
Iran can only join the global community and cease to pose a threat to regional and global peace and stability when its oppressed nations are granted their right to self-determination, and the country is freed from centralized, authoritarian structures and the nation-state model. Only through such a transformation can a peaceful, just, and sustainable future be envisioned for Iran and the wider region.
