These strikes demonstrate that the Islamic Republic's diplomatic agreements do not include a halt to its war machine against Kurdistan and its political opposition.

A New Wave of Attacks on PDKI Camps

On the afternoon of Friday, April 17, 2026, Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) forces launched a new wave of strikes using a combination of missiles and suicide drones against the civilian camps of the Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan (PDKI). According to reports, these attacks have resulted in several casualties:

• In one of these strikes, a father and son were targeted; consequently, Shahin Azarbarzin was martyred, and his father, Nader Azarbarzin, was critically injured.
• In another attack targeting a group of the party's Peshmerga, two female fighters named Neda Miri and Samira Allahyari joined the caravan of martyrs for the freedom of Kurdistan, while several others were wounded.

Death of Ghazal Molan Following Strikes on Komala Camp

Simultaneously, reports from Sulaymaniyah indicate that another individual wounded in recent drone strikes has passed away. Ghazal Molan, a Peshmerga from Mahabad and a member of the Komala Party of Toilers of Kurdistan, who was severely injured during a drone strike on the "Surdash" camp in Sulaymaniyah province on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, succumbed to her injuries on Friday, April 17.

Human rights sources have confirmed that at least two other Peshmerga were injured during the attack on the Surdash camp and are currently under medical supervision.

Ceasefire Violation at the Cost of Kurdish Lives

These systematic aggressions are taking place while the Islamic Republic claims international adherence to a ceasefire with Israel and the United States. However, the simultaneous targeting of both PDKI and Komala camps proves once again that the Iranian regime exploits every diplomatic opportunity to intensify its suppression of Kurdistan and the physical elimination of its political opponents.

By blatantly violating the sovereignty of the Kurdistan Region and targeting residential areas and civilian camps, the Islamic Republic has reaffirmed its persistent warmongering policy against the Kurdish nation.
